I absolutely hate waiting in line at my bank. The other day, as I queued up, I realized that the very elderly Asian gentlemen in front of me was wearing a hearing aid. Of course, luck would dictate that he was headed directly to the East Indian teller. I listened in and realized that neither one of them actually spoke English as a first language. I watched as they gesticulated and repeated the same broken English phrases, all the while having no idea what each other was saying. Suddenly, my wait in line didn’t seem quite so dull and boring…

I’m a little too old now to get excited about pop music the way I did when I was a teen, but that new song by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys is FREAKIN’ AWESOME! Sadly, I’ve never been to the “Big Apple”. My sister, Boo, went some 20 years ago and said it was the best trip she ever took. Her friend even convinced her to go to Harlem to dine at Spike Lee’s favorite restaurant where they missed him by only an hour!

If memory serves me correctly, Designguy also went to New York and had a fantastic time. Damn; does this mean I finally have to put my workaholic life on hold and take a trip? I’ll let you know.
