Too Successful

Gatorade just announced it is dropping Tiger Woods as one of their celebrity endorsers. I guess the combination of Tiger’s picture on the bottle next to the slogan,”Is it in you?”, led far too many women to respond - “As a matter of fact, yes.”

Mucous

When did mucous become the new advertising buzzword? I remember when every product had “Pro-” in front of its name. Before that, products were all designated as “Extreme”. Now, every cough syrup ad plays up the word mucous. Gross!

Intelligent Guido?

I think it was Saturday Night Live that made a joke about how someone or some group or something was SO stupid, that it made the TV show “Jersey Shore” look like the show “McLaughlin Group“. Now, I must confess, I found this joke to be hysterically funny as I am guilty of watching both these shows. Unfortunately, I am in for a ton of flack from my friends because watching “Jersey Shore” makes me a moron with bad taste, while watching “McLaughlin Group” makes me a pretentious bore. Hopefully watching both will keep me grounded somewhere in the middle.

Tard spam…

Ok, so if you’re going to Spam me, try at least:

1) Using English, preferably in the form of complete fucking sentences

2) Use your spell and grammar checkers

3) Use language that a human would use in my country… WTF is a ‘Tax Commissar’?

Johnny Cash

I will start by confessing that I have annoyed more people with my rendition of “Folsom Prison Blues” than the worst American Idol contestants have ever annoyed Simon Cowell.

In 1977, Johnny was asked to list the 10 Greatest Country Songs of all time. I do realize that some of you are already laughing and thinking to yourself that the phrase “Greatest Country Songs” is an oxymoron, so I won’t bore you with the entire list.

Artists like Hank Williams and Hank Snow made the list, but, ironically, 5 of the songs were by Johnny Cash! For the number 1 song, he listed, “I Walk the Line”.

To this day, I still love Johnny Cash, but I had no idea he had such an enormous ego!
